Franklin Graham has called for prayers for the injured in today’s attacks in New York.

New York police have named 27-year-old Brooklyn resident Akayed Ullah as the suspect who was wearing a homemade explosive device that detonated at the Port Authority bus terminal near Times Square.

Ullah is of Bangladeshi descent. New York Mayor Bill Di Blasio has describe the event as an attempted terrorist attack.

Franklin took to Twitter to ask for Christians to “Pray for those injured in the pipe bomb attack this morning. Let’s also pray for and our leaders in Washington—both Democrat and Republican—that God would give them wisdom and they would listen to His voice.”

On Facebook, evangelist Graham wrote, “Once again our nation has been attacked by radical Islam.”

“According to media reports, a Muslim immigrant from Bangladesh, inspired by ISIS, detonated a pipe bomb this morning in New York City. As the Syrian and Iraqi governments celebrate what they call the “victory over ISIS,” the battle against radical Islam is far from over.”
