The father of the late Hollywood star Paul Walker has opened up about his son’s untimely death saying he is comforted knowing that ‘God just took him home’.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Paul Walker Sr spoke about how the Fast and Furious actor’s death in 2013 had impacted his life.
“I don’t go out as much anymore because Paul’s death took a lot out of me.
“I’ve got my good friends, who I stay in touch with, and they’ve been so supportive and nice to me. The best way I know how to look at it is that God just took him home. That’s the biggest comfort I can find.”
At the time of his death, Walker had been filming Furious 7, but was killed in a car crash.
The Fate of the Furious, which is the eight film in the Fast and Furious franchise, has broken box-office records globally and marks the first film in the series that Walker will not star in.
Walker Sr said he eventually watched the action movie which features Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Vin Diesel and Charlize Theron, after not being sure he wanted to see it.
He said: “When I did, thankfully I was surrounded by friends, some who knew Paul since when he was a little kid, and it was really wonderful.
