After Rehab Treatment, Ben Affleck Turns to God
In August, news broke that Academy Award-winning actor Ben Affleck entered a rehabilitation facility again for his alcohol addiction. The 46-year-old Hollywood star and father of three has been very open about struggling with alcoholism in the past, willingly entering rehab multiple times.
Ahead of his most recent rehab visit, the “Justice League” star reached out to his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Garner, when he fell off the deep end. Even though the two have been divorced for more than a year, Garner agreed to drive him to rehab. To this day, she remains a constant support system in his life.
As of the beginning of October, Affleck has been in rehab for more than 30 days. According to ET Online, the actor has reportedly been doing well and even been spotted out in public several times. It is unclear if he is still undergoing treatment at the center and if he is, his official release date is unknown.
Recent headlines insisted that Affleck turned to God amidst his rehab treatment, reported TMZ. On Sunday, September 30th, the “Gone Girl” star was photographed with his ex-wife and children at church.
He took to Instagram to share with his four million followers that he aims to beat his addiction. One follower commented, “I would like to say that I’m also in this fight for 1 year and a half, it’s hard and painful but in the end makes us stronger… I’m from Brazil, and Just for today be stronger than your addiction… and please be at the AA meatings (sic) is very important for our treatment … Wish you all the best and God bless you…”
Prior to being seen at church, Affleck was also spotted out in public for workout sessions and business meetings.
