Chris Pratt Shares His Faith at Disneyland’s Candlelight Ceremony
David Rogers | Staff Writer
Invited to read the Christmas story from Luke for Disneyland’s candlelight ceremony in California, the renowned Christian actor Chris Pratt used his closing speech to share the love of God.
Australian actor Chris Hemsworth narrated the Christmas story last year, but this year, fellow Marvel celebrity, Chris Pratt, took to the stage. As the leading actor in Marvel’s “Guardians Of The Galaxy” movie, he was an obviouys fit, given Disney is now the owner of Marvel.
Disneyland has hosted an annual ceremony to celebrate Christmas since the park opened in 1995 and doesn’t miss an opportunity to share his faith boldly. During the summer, he won MTV’s “Generation Award” and shared some tips with viewers on how to live well, including the importance of believing in God and prayer.
“God is real. He loves you and wants the best for you. Believe that, I do!” Chris said during his speech at the MTV Awards.
Last Sunday, he again grabbed the chance to share about God using his platform. He related his love for his child, who was in the audience, to the love God has for each and every one of us.
“For me being a parent has really changed my life in so many ways. And one of those ways is to understand truly the love that a father can have for his child,” Chris shared at Disneyland. “So, when I stare at this precious creation of mine here and I watch how much he tries to please me. I feel love that is so pure and unending and the way we love our children, and the more we love our children, the more we will understand the capacity for our Father in Heaven to love us!
“The way we love our children, the more we love our children, the more we will understand the capacity for our Father in heaven to love us.”
“Each and every one of us a precious creation, and He just marvels in the ways that we can try to please Him. And through this holiday spirit may we continue to spread peace and goodwill throughout the world. Thank you, and Merry Christmas!”
